It is with huge sadness and deep regret we are writing following the announcement of the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest reigning monarch. For many of us, the Queen has been a reassuring constant throughout our lives and the news of her death will create a profound sense of loss. For those of you who wish to pay your respects A book of condolence will be opened and available for all our Parishioners to sign at St Michaels Church.
The Church is open daily and the book will be available to write in until 5pm on 19th September when it will be collated and bound for posterity. There will also be a Thanksgiving Service to Celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s life at 6pm on Sunday 18th September 2022 at St. Michael’s Church.
If you would like to lay flowers, please feel free to do so at the new Natter Garden at the bottom of Long Furlong Lane. (No plastic wrapping) As your Parish Council, we wish to create a space for all parishioners to pay their respects and the Natter Garden seems a very fitting location. If you have any questions or if you require any further information, please contact our Parish Clerk.
